Getting yourself out of a sexual rut…10

Remember when sex was exciting? Sure you do, it wasn’t *that* long ago was it? Remember when you made sure you knew every inch of the apartment? Seeing just how running shower water could heighten the sexual experience. I’m sure I’m bringing back some memories for some of you out there, yes? Ok, maybe for some of you the routine is more like: clothes off, missionary, “oh baby, oh baby”, g’night! If that sounds more like what your sexual routine is, maybe it’s time to take a good hard look (hehe, I said ‘hard’) and see if there are ways you could improve your situation.

Now, of course, Healthy and Active has a wide range of sexual products that you could use to boost the imagination and create new chapters in your sex life. However, even if you get a bunch of great new toys you might not know all of the little tips, tricks and ways to really get the most out of them. That’s why it might be a good idea to check out some instructional DVDs.

No, we don’t mean some adult videos so you can say that you’re fucking like a porn star — although there are some interesting sexual positions you can learn. Instructional DVDs offer step-by-step methods for getting the most out of even the most ordinary of sexual positions. One of the most famed series of DVDs involves adult actress Nina Hartley. She has so many DVDs on various topics, she could start a 24 hour Nina Hartley Network. Topics include sex toys, bondage, seduction, oral sex, g-spot sex, the list goes on and on and on (oh and ladies, there’s even a tape discussing multiple orgasms! ok, stop salivating now!).

These DVDs run from $17.50 to $35.00, so there’s definitely something there that can fit into your budget. Don’t be afraid to step out of that comfort zone and get into new ways to pleasure yourself and your partner. Unfortunately, we don’t sell a book that highlights excuses you could use for why you couldn’t make it into work the next day. You’re on your own with that one! :)

You don’t need to spend much to invest in your sex life…4

This is just one of the items available for under $20 at Healthy and Active

We’ve all been there. The routine sexual experience: First we go missionary, then we spoon, then we zzzz… Ok, maybe that’s just a guy’s sexual routine and while it’s good it still leaves something to be desired. You’ve tried books, videos and even things you saw in “Sex and the City”. You are one of those people that feels like sex is an important investment to make (like a 401k).

A while ago, when the economic climate was going through a meltdown, Healthy and Active tried to figure out the best way to help our customers out. One of those ways was to easily point out where the hot toys were that were available for $20 or less. So imagine, for the same price as a trip to the ATM machine, you can get items like vibrators, butt plugs, blindfolds, nipple toys, you name it. Matter of fact, some toys are priced all the way down to $3.75 (isn’t that the price of a Starbucks coffee nowadays or a gallon of gas!?).

Imagine, though, what you could do with your newfound toys. Imagine… spreading your partner’s legs wide and using a vibrator on her clitoris. Ladies, have your man bound to bed and blindfolded while you proceed to ice down his nipples (Man, is it getting hot in here!?)

So we figured if the high cost of living is going to keep you in the house more … where the bed is located … and the couch, and the dinner table, and the shower, and the rug and nightstand and the couch again, why not enjoy your time there with each other and why not stretch your imagination far beyond two sexual positions. Pick up a few hot sex toys under $20 and see where the pleasure takes you.

Sexual Health: Handling sex after a heart attack…0

Well, gee. I didn’t know what to initially make of this when I read it. There’s an article, over at MSNBC, that talks about how people feared having sex right after a heart-attack incident, because they felt that such an exercise/activity would induce another heart-attack to happen.

I can understand that concern. I’ve had sexual episodes that damn near made my heart stop (at the very least it made me sweat a little when I missed a couple of important college lectures). Yet, the people in this article were talking about how they figured that the strenuous nature of having sex (the consistent movement, sweating and increased heart-rate) could overwhelm the heart and cause another heart attack.

However, doctors state that as long as you can do light aerobic type exercises (like stair climbing) you’re fine for sex. They do say that you should ease your way back into it (maybe a little lube?) and stop at the slightest signs of discomfort.

But what do you guys think? Check out the article first, then report back here and let’s discuss your opinions.

Check out the new Bon4 Silicone Chastity Device0

So what’s chastity? In a nutshell (erm, so to speak) chastity is a sexual practice by which the male genitals are locked in such a way that the guy can’t obtain a full erection.

Now, guys work with me on this.

Essentially, your penis is put into a device and then your partner begins to create arousal throughout your body. One of your natural reactions is to obtain an erection. A nice. hard. erection. However, a good functional chastity device prevents that erection from ever seeing full completion. It does offer a very visual appeal for the users.

Now, chastity devices come in plenty of ways. There’s simply rings, there’s devices that appear like full on underwear and then there’s “The Bon4“. The Bon4 is a chastity device that is made of silicone. Silicone is becoming a highly sought-after material for products and this one is definitely comfortable to wear and use.

Healthy and Active is a proud retailer for the Bon4. To help you understand how easy it is, here’s a video that shows how to put the device together from all of the included parts. Once assembled, then you place your partner into it and proceed to watch his emotions stir.

So, guys, what’s up? Have you already engaged in chastity play and want to share tips on getting the most excitement from it? Ladies, have you had your man in a chastity device before? Share with us your tips, tricks and stories from chastity play.
