You’ve got mail.. and possibly an STD…3

There’s an article posted over at the MSNBC website that tells about InSPOT. InSPOT is a company that sends out “greeting cards” to your former sexual partners asking them to be tested for any sexually transmitted disease. Should you find out that you have any STDs you can use this service to warn and alert your former partners.

I can honestly see both sides of this, but I want to ask what you all think of such a practice. Would you prefer that people handle it face to face or is sending a card an acceptable practice?

Ok, I want your opinion(s) about Healthy and Active. What do you think of the colors, the layout, the design. Feel free to go ahead and pick it apart. The store can only get better the more we know about what YOU feel about it. The goal of any good business is to create an environment that’s inviting, exciting and enticing for customers.

Ready for the Weekend!?0

So as we’re winding down the work here in the office and preparing for the weekend, let’s discuss some weekend plans. I, myself will be headed to a Wine Bar. One of the fancy places where you try wine and cheese. Of course you could do that at your own house, but sometimes you just need that fancy experience of having someone bring to you different styles of wines.

I’m sure some of you will begin early preparations for Halloween (a great previous post covers some ideas). Our friends at Extreme Restraints even offer some latex painting kits in case you want to design your own outfit. I’ve loved seeing those, especially during coverage of the Playboy parties. If you didn’t know that was paint, you’d swear they were actual outfits.

So what are you planning for the weekend? Saying “I’m gonna have lots and lots of sex” is a totally ok answer too! =)

One of the questions sent a lot to us (besides the frequently asked ‘How can I earn free toys from you guys?’) revolves around understanding how measurements work, or getting more insight into a certain material. So in that vein we’re going to start a segment where we take one of your questions and answer them. Anyone is also welcome to add additional information in the comments section — this is, after all, a community we like to have around here.

So let’s deal with one of the more common questions from customers: Just how many versions of a rabbit vibrator can be released? What I think the people are getting at is, are we tired of seeing the same type of toy all day. Frankly, we’re not. There’s still so much innovation out there that even the simplest rabbit vibrator can be enhanced with a little know-how and ingenuity. As a staple of sex toy history, the rabbit vibrator has become one of the most known toys out there. Naturally, you’re going to see new versions of that item as time wears on and imaginations run more rampant.

When you’re talking about the new and latest of toys, you’re talking about it the same way you talk about anything in society. We thrive on the new, the latest. Look at electronics for instance. How many people still have a TV they bought 10 years ago (besides me?). People love going into stores looking at the newest latest TV set, even though all TVs do the essential same thing: broadcast moving pictures with sound.

Sex toys are the same way. A butt plug goes in the butt, a vibrator vibrates, but it’s in the innovations and additions that could make that toy worthwhile. We’ve seen rabbits that talk, we’ve seen rabbits that ejaculate, we’ve seen bondage cuffs made of leather, bondage cuffs made of steel.

So tell us how you feel about innovation in sex toys. What would you like to see the next version of toys do (besides cook breakfast and clean the house). Let your imagination run wild.
