Quick, tell me what routine you and your partner do when having sex?

If you’re able to tell me, then your next thought might be “Gee, we may have to switch this up a little.” If you’re unable to tell me then you’re either doing well in the variety department or it’s been so long that you just simply forgot. No matter which of these categories you fall into, one thing is for certain: Great sex comes with creativity, imagination and a willingness (at times) to think outside the box (erm, so to speak).

There should be no shame in trying to figure out new and exciting ways to enjoy sex with your partner. While there could be positions that you two enjoy (doggie style, cowgirl, etc); one of the key things to consider is that new daring position or trying a hot new toy.

Sex Swings, for example, allow you to take sex off the bed (and suspend it from the ceiling or a stand. There are even sex swings that you can hang from a doorway. No one said that because you’re in the bedroom that you actually have to use the bed.

Ever thought about having your partner tied up and under your control. Maybe you should dabble in light bondage play. Even if you start with a simple pair of cuffs and transition to whips, straight jackets and more, light bondage can be a fun, stimulating activity.

Here’s a thought: You want to please your partner, but you’re not quite sure how. Maybe you want a few ideas. Nothing like a good book to help spark your imagination. Whether you’re aiming to pleasure your partner or find out how to incorporate new products, ideas and techniques, a great book can give you that encouragement and confidence to take your sex life to the next level.

So rather now than asking “What’s your daily routine” a better question is “What do you plan to do next?”

Are you getting horny for the holidays?3

It would be safe to say that we’ve officially entered the holiday season. With Halloween coming up, you soon have Thanksgiving around the corner and then it’ll be Christmas (and technically New Year’s since most of us take New Year’s Day off). 

Each of these individual holidays bring with it a new and exciting way to entice, romance and appreciate your partner. They all offer you a chance to be creative in (and out of) the house.

Take Halloween, for example. What do you plan to dress up as? Halloween is a great time to maybe try role playing in the bedroom. You and your partner can dress up as totally new people and see what sex would’ve been like if those two people have met. Maybe she can act like a nurse, trying to get you back to health or maybe the guy can be a wrestler while his partner acts like his coach.

One awesome idea would be for the young lady to get into a total exotic dancer motif: Pick up a dance pole, sexy lingerie and some music. Put those things together and you have the makings of great eye candy for your partner.

Now let’s think about Thanksgiving. This is a time where you can quite possibly turn your partner into a dessert that’s much more fulfilling than any pumpkin or sweet potato pie could ever be. Lie them on the bed, blindfolded and spray their entire body with chocolate. Then proceed to use your tongue to gently remove the sauce from their body. Be sure to put extra chocolate on places that you plan to use your tongue for extended periods of time (you know what places I’m talking about!)

Maybe she would like to wear edible underwear and allow her partner to eat their way to paradise?

Then there’s Christmas Day, that joyous occasion where you open up new gifts and spend quality time together. Imagine if your partner came down the steps wearing a simple silk thong that was tied in a bow? Imagine the look of delight as the bow is untied…

There are plenty of things you can do to make the holiday season a fun, festive, sexy and stimulating time for you and your partner. Mistletoe isn’t always needed, egg nog doesn’t have to be consumed in mass quantities and sometimes the the joke of “This Christmas, I plan to open just one…special…box.” might go a long way. Yes, ok that line is lame, I admit it, but maybe it’ll be different when whispered….no!?…well I tried.

The commercialization of women’s sexuality…1

So there was this episode of Nightline, last night, that dealt with women’s sexuality; but it was done from the angle that most major TV networks won’t run commercials/advertisements for enhancements or supplements that help boost women’s libido, despite the fact that there are tons of commercials (Cialis, Viagra, etc) that run all of the time to help male sexual dysfunction. The story was trying to figure out why male sexuality can be freely explored (even to the point that it can gain airtime during the Super Bowl — one of the most watched events on television) and yet ads for women’s enhancement can’t even get a mention.

The piece focused on two women who created a supplement called Provestra. While I can’t personally speak to it’s effectiveness, the interview targeted the point that the supplement couldn’t even get airtime in an era that shows male sexual dysfunction ads during prime time television (let alone late at night).

As I was watching the interview, I was taken back as I don’t really remember seeing many ads that specifically focus on helping women. The news piece stated that it was women who deal more with sexual issues than men, yet it was men who was being targeted the most.

One striking part of the interview was that when the women would present their ads to TV stations and networks, they were told they had to edit it down to not include things like ‘sexuality’, etc. even though that’s exactly what the ad is about. They then showed a KY Jelly commercial as an example of ads that didn’t have to water themselves down to get their point across.

So I wanted to ask you guys, what do you think? Should supplements that aim to women receive just as much available airtime as male supplements? Do you use any of these supplements and care to talk about their effectiveness (male or female — no real names necessary)?

How do you position yourself for better sex?1

Whenever, I look through our categories I’m always amazed by the number of positioning aids there are. Probably just as many positioning aids as there are sexual positions. For those following me on Twitter, I tend to ask a lot of sexual questions because they’re fun and because, for some, it really makes them take a hard look (no pun intended) at their sex life.

So one of those questions is: favorite sexual position. Mine would be spoon (but if you followed me on Twitter, you would know that!). But tell me what your favorite sexual position is and why? Is it the angle, the comfort, the way you’re able to look into your partner’s eyes… what is is about your fav position that placed it at the top of the list?

Happy Hump Day: The Dressing Room Tryst…11

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve tried to do something different with Hump Day. Before it was asking a question, but then I figured I would do something more enjoyable. Since I enjoy writing and I’ve already noted now much I love how words work, I’ve decided to try my hand at writing some erotica. Actually, it’s more like twitterotica, for you see I’m writing this all out over Twitter.

The funny this is, is that these little bits of erotica are meant to look like I’m sending private messages to someone and you just happen to intercept them. This way if you were to respond to them, you can actually shape the story a bit to fit your own personal desires and fantasies (neat, huh?)

The Dressing Room Tryst

You grab my hand as we run into the lingerie shop. The thought of you trying on some of the new arrivals already has me in pure excitement.

It’s no wonder that today is lingerie shopping day. Who can forget last night when I ripped your panties and bra in the heat of passion!?

Walking through the store, I resist the urge to bend you over the perfume counter and change every fragrance into the smell of sex.

You look back at me with loving eyes as you stop to check out some corsets. Of course, my personal favs are the ones with the open front.

Many of the shoppers watch us as we frolicked through the store, but you can tell they were more wishing they could do the same as us.

I look down at my watch and realize it’s 30 minutes to closing time. By the time I look up the store was empty; just us and the workers.

Placing a finger across my lips you skip into the dressing room. After a quick look-around I follow you through the curtain.

Seeing the mirror in the dressing room my first thought asks if it’s a 2-way mirror. My next thought is so what, let’s give em a show.

Watching you remove your shirt has never ceased to arouse me. I want to place a hand on your body, but I’m too mesmerized by the show.

You coyly slide your pants down and look over at me. You know you don’t need to bend over that far to take them off, but ur such a tease.

Amidst the faint sounds of employees trying to clean up for the night, you straddle my lap. The curve of your rear slides across my body.

I almost want to think that the employees keep wanting to tap on your dressing room curtain, but ur giggles cause them to choose otherwise.

What was once a smooth trip across my pants now seems to have caused a ‘bump’ in the road. You look back and smile.

I slide my hands up ur body as you continue to rub against me. Using my fingertips I glide up your stomach, finally gliding across ur lips.

Time seems to have slowed down for us. You stand up and place your back against the mirror. With a come-hither look and a finger I approach.

Placing your hands high above your head I glide my lips across your neck. You let out a pant of anticipation and wrap one leg around me.

You pull my shirt over my head and give the pants a good unzipping. The anticipation and sounds build as we intertwine into one.

With new things still hanging by the side, our bodies find their way around each other. Now, the store is ours and this room is our domain.

It’s eerily quiet out there. With a pause we can hear faint moans out in the store. Looks like the employees are enjoying us.

Our tryst in the dressing room is reaching a fever pitch. With reckless abandon our bodies blend together & our moans are in rhythm.

The 2way mirror is fogging up. If there is someone behind there, then the fog is causing them to miss the one reason work was fun today.

We try out the three walls of the dressing room in different positions. We savor each moment and make it ours; we can feel the climax…

In one fabulous moment, we climax together, pausing to let our bodies attempt a recovery. I kiss you on your neck as we embrace.

We put our clothes back on and leave the dressing room. Like two crazy lovers we walk proudly out of the store.

We stop for a sec to reminisce on our tryst. As we past a mattress store, we look at each other and wink. When will we ever learn? =)
